THE OLD WAY VS THE TRADIE NOTES WAY

SCRAPS & NOTEPADS

  • Searching for scraps on the jobsite
  • Trying to fit your detailed diagram on a rough timber block
  • Scribbling on the side of your tape in pencil — barely legible, no room for detail

FEATURES

Sunlight Readable Display

The LCD screen is designed to be easily readable in bright sunlight...

picture

32mm wideblade

With a 32mm wide blade, this tape stands out—delivering the same jobsite-ready performance tradies trust from the iconic FatMax style.

picture

Instant Clear Screen

With just a push of a button, the LCD screen instantly clears all drawings. No more paper—efficiency at its best!

The clear button is recessed into the case and takes an intentional push — it can't be pressed by accident and lose your measurements.

DIYReplaceableScreen

The screen can be replaced in under 2 minutes — just undo the 4 screws and remove the ring cover. Quick and easy, in the unlikely event your E-pad needs swapping. (Spare screen sold separately)

THE NUMBER STAYS ON THE TAPE

THE HEADLINE FEATURE

THE NUMBER STAYS ON THE TAPE

Every tradie knows the gap between the mark and the saw — that three-second walk where 2,340 turns into 2,430. Now the number is written on the side of the tape in your hand, exactly where you need it.

  • E-Pad writing screen built into the side — jot it the moment you measure it
  • One button wipes it clean for the next measurement
  • Screen wears out years down the track? Swap it yourself with a $10 spare
  • Runs on a CR1220 coin cell — 6–12 months of daily use
STARTED ON A JOBSITE, NOT IN A BOARDROOM

WHY I BUILT IT

STARTED ON A JOBSITE, NOT IN A BOARDROOM

G'day — I'm Samuel, a carpenter of eighteen years. I got sick of hunting for offcuts to scribble measurements on, and of numbers going missing between the mark and the saw. The little miscommunications nobody clocks — that's where the money leaks. So I built the tool I wanted in my own tool belt, and since 2023 it's ended up in thousands of them across Australia, New Zealand, the UK and the USA. That's me in the photo — and the tape measure is that same idea, built into the tool you already pull out fifty times a day.

STRAIGHT FROM THE JOBSITE

The tape is the newest tool in the range — here's what the first owners reckon. The good and the honest.

It actually surprised me how tough and great this tape is. I use it everyday as a trim carpenter, and so far its been tough enough to last on my jobs. And the scribble pad is awesome, I can only fit so much, but it beats writing it down on lil pieces of wood. Lol. Great product!

I just recently got two tape measures and they are my new favourite hand tool. I don't have to hunt for a piece of timber or use my phone anymore, I can write measurements on the side quickly and hassle free. 5 stars!

Good concept, yep handy to have a note piece. Nice crisp writing. This works better than my Tradie Note double pad.

Great idea. Just a little bulky for me to carry everyday. Thinner would be 5 stars for me.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS

No — the stylus is sold separately. The E-Pad is pressure-based, so a carpenter's pencil or the stylus from any other Tradie Notes device will write on it fine. It was designed to be paired with the 2-in-1 mechanical pencil + stylus, though — one tool on the belt that marks your timber and writes on your tape. That's the best combo.

Both exist. Orders shipping to the USA and Canada automatically get the imperial blade; everywhere else gets metric. No need to select anything at checkout.

It's a full-size 8m tape with a 32mm wide blade and oversize hook — same footprint class as the big-name wide-blade tapes, with the E-Pad adding a little on the side. If you run a compact 5m tape, you'll notice the difference; if you're used to a heavy-duty tape, you won't.

No — it's a flexible screen, not glass, so it can't crack. If it ever stops working — something sharp got to it, or it copped too much water — it's DIY-replaceable in minutes, and a spare screen is $10.

The E-Pad runs a CR1220 coin cell that lasts 6–12 months of daily use — a standard battery you can grab at any servo or supermarket, and swapping it takes a minute. The tape itself is just a tape; no battery needed to measure.

Yep. The E-Pad is pressure-based — no skin contact needed, unlike your phone. Write with whatever's in your hand.

30 days to change your mind — send it back unused and in perfect nick for a full refund. Manufacturing faults are covered for 12 months and we'll replace it. Drops off the scaffold are on you, fair's fair. Email admin@tradienotes.com.au and we'll sort it.

STOP ASKING "WHAT WAS THAT NUMBER?"

Measure it, write it on the tape, cut it right the first time. If it's not for you, send it back.
