Most site gear is "tough" until the first wet week. The Dura Max is a solid aluminium unit, sealed against water and dust, that folds flat 180° and doesn't care where you throw it.
- Heavy-duty aluminium body — shrugs off drops, knocks and the daily grind
- Sealed waterproof + dustproof design — rain and grinder dust won't stop it
- 180° fold — hold it one-handed or lay both pads flat
- DIY-replaceable screens — swap in minutes, keep the unit for life
WHY I BUILT IT
STARTED ON A JOBSITE, NOT IN A BOARDROOM
G'day — I'm Samuel, a carpenter of eighteen years. I got sick of hunting for offcuts to scribble measurements on, and of numbers going missing between the mark and the saw. The little miscommunications nobody clocks — that's where the money leaks. So I built the tool I wanted in my own tool belt, and since 2023 it's ended up in thousands of them across Australia, New Zealand, the UK and the USA. That's me in the photo — and the Dura Max is that same idea, armoured up.
REAL TRADIES. REAL JOBSITES.

The Dura Max is new — only 250 are out in the wild so far. Here's what the first owners reckon.
This company could give masterclasses in customer service and communication. The quality is great, the screen functions well, and the holster is a great purchase for keeping the Dura Max on your belt, and handy. Highly recommend the product and the company.

STRAIGHT ANSWERS
The Dura Max has a sealed aluminium body rated to handle the elements — rain, wet hands, dust and grinder grit. Concreting in the wet, marine work, roof work in a downpour: it keeps writing. When it's filthy, wipe it down and get on with it.
230g — about the same as the phone already in your pocket. It's actually no chunkier than the 4.0 — it just feels heavier in the hand because it's solid aluminium instead of polymer. That solidness is the whole point. If you want the lightest pad on the belt, the Tradie Notes 4.0 is your pick.
No — the Dura Max is a dual E-Pad: two writing screens, back-to-back, folding 180°. If the construction calculator is what you're after, that's the Tradie Notes 4.0.
You swap it yourself — the screens are DIY-replaceable in minutes with cost-effective replacements, no tools, no sending it away. That's the whole point of the Dura Max: the body lasts a lifetime, and the wear parts are cheap to renew.
Straight up: some units in the first batch of 250 had screen faults, and we copped fair criticism for it. That fault has been fixed in the current production run, and every Dura Max is covered by the 12-month warranty — if yours ever plays up, email admin@tradienotes.com.au and we'll sort you out.
It runs a CR1220 coin cell that lasts 6–12 months of daily use — a standard battery you can grab at any servo or supermarket, and swapping it takes a minute.
Yep. The E-Pads are pressure-based — the included stylus (or anything with a point) writes fine with gloves on. No skin contact needed, unlike your phone.
30 days to change your mind — send it back unused and in perfect nick for a full refund. Manufacturing faults are covered for 12 months and we'll replace it. Drops off the scaffold are on you, fair's fair. Email admin@tradienotes.com.au and we'll sort it.
BUY IT ONCE. BEAT IT UP FOREVER.
Waterproof, dustproof, aluminium-bodied — with replaceable screens so it never ends up in the bin. If it's not for you, send it back.
30-day returns (unused) • 12-month warranty on defects • Ships from AU & USA
